Welcome to The Sims 2 Wiki, the encyclopedia that anyone [with knowledge of TS2] can edit!

What is the purpose of this wiki?[]

Starting with the closing down of thesims2.com, more and more fan sites and creators have started to disappear from the community. As the modders lose interest, the secrets to modding for The Sims 2 are at risk of being lost. An easily accessible site to consult about where to look for help on modding the game is therefore urgently needed.

The Sims 2 Wiki aims to be that site; a portal to all the sites where you can learn everything you'd ever care to know about the game and its community, an open archive of tutorials, documentations and articles on the game and its thousands of mods, and a place of experimentation, research, writing and revision of current knowledge about the game. If succesful, The Sims 2 Wiki would give readers the tools to shape their Sims 2 experiences as they see fit, and a space for discussion and collaboration to this end.

As long as they aren't too technical, any articles and information about The Sims 2 will fit in well on there. The Wiki has, at time of writing, over 500 stub articles, mostly pertaining to lots across games, and various articles related to console and spinoff versions.
