The Therapist is a Base Game NPC for The Sims 2 and The Sims Life and Pet Stories. When a Sim has an Aspiration Failure, The Therapist descends from above and starts examining the catatonic Sim. Once he finishes the examination, he hypnotises the Sim into acting like an animal. Afterwards, the Sim regains consciousness and shakes the Therapist's hand. They regain a small amount of Aspiration, while the Therapist flies away once more.
The Therapist is imaginary; he is only visible when his assigned Sim is selected and do not naturally interact with real Sims. If a Social Bunny is present on the Lot, it will approach the Therapist and gossip successfully, presumably about either the Social Bunny's Sim or the Therapist's client.
The Therapist has the Knowledge Aspiration
The Therapist despawns immediately if his assigned Sim is not present or he hasn't been assigned a Sim to begin with.
It is possible with simple modding to use the Therapist's data as a template to create NPCs.
